A fixed point of LBP is one where the messages do not change any more. So that if a BP update if of the form m^{t+1} = F(m^t) then the fixed point messages will satisfy m = F(m). In other words if you run BP and at some points the messages stop changing, then you are a fixed point.

could you elaborate on what "Show that at a fixed point of LBP…" means? We understood that for every G we need to characterize a specific point in time for every iteration of message passing in which for every vertex the property in the question holds. Is it so? Or is it possible that there is a potentially different point in time for every vertex?
