Hi,
Is a grading table for the project will be published?
Specifically, how the different grades scaling between projects that are merely for this course and for project combined with the NLP course was preformed?
thanks

Hi,
Since the uni offices are closed now, and we already have the final grades ready, we've decided to publish them on the course website.
The grade table is now available at the bottom of the "General Information" page.

If you have any questions regarding the h.w grading, feel free to mail me at: li.ca.uat.liam|adnomrac#li.ca.uat.liam|adnomrac.
Happy holidays,
Daniel.

Can you please publish here the final corrected grades? The university offices are closed for a long period. Thanks!

Hi,

I uploaded a table with the grades for HW 1-4.
For HW4, some students didn't seem to submit the theory questions / the programming assignment.
If you believe you submitted the theory questions / programming assignment but the table says otherwise,
please mail me at:
li.ca.uat.liam|adnomrac#li.ca.uat.liam|adnomrac

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi,
A sheet with grades for HW 1-3 is now in the Home Assignments section.
The grades for HW4 will be there soon.
In case you think there's a mistake (e.g you submitted exercise $k\in\{1,2,3\}$ and the table says you didn't), please mail me at:
li.ca.uat.liam|adnomrac#li.ca.uat.liam|adnomrac

Thanks,
Daniel

Hi,
Eventually I need a 'ws.p' file with parameters to test.
Without the second process you describe, how will I know which one I should check?

So I suggest that during the training phase, keep the parameters that show the best performance and at the end of the training save them.

I'm not sure that this is a good idea since the code that choose the best candidate is pretty slow as there are a lot of candidates and its takes time to check them…

by Alon (guest), 02 Jul 2017 13:25

Hi,
Please put the code for the second process together with the code for the first process.
Eventually you do get just one 'ws.p' file, so just call these two processes as one.

Thanks

submission question

Hi,
In order to reach the test level I maid my training algorithm to save candidate of parameters and then run a second processes to choose the best one.
After I choose the best params i saved it as 'ws.p' file as required.
So my lunar_lander.py code just save a lots of files and not single 'ws.p' file? is it ok?
I don't want to change it since if I change it to save only one 'ws.p' file it will override the best params i choose from the candidates.

Thanks,
Alon

Try the link in 'Updated submission guidelines' thread

Hi,
Did you try the link in the new pdf or the old one?
In the new pdf there's a new link.
I sent a message to the group's mail (via Moodle) about it, did you receive it?

Hi,
I can't submit my HW to the google forms and I know that this problem occurs for others as well.
Is there any other way to submit?

Can't submit HW by Yuval (guest), 02 Jul 2017 04:17

sorry, I still don't get the intuition behind your second point. I agree with your first point - it will reduce the variance as now long episodes won't have a very strong effect and confuse us. But I don't get why should we always have the same step-size? Isn't it true that we can learn more from a long episode than from a short one? don't we want the step-size to be bigger after a long episode??
thanks!
